Assistant Instructor
Want to take the next step towards becoming an instructor? Maybe you’re a Divemaster just looking for more class involvement and responsibility. Central Coast is now offering Assistant Instructor certification. The AI rating allows you to teach (under indirect supervision) in the classroom as well as in the water. Assistant Instructors can teach and certify certain PADI courses like Buoyancy, Project Aware, and Medic First Aid. An AI can also independently conduct the Discover Scuba and Bubblemaker programs. In order to begin the AI program, you must be a certified PADI Divemaster (or leadership level w/another diver training organization.)
We have a course director in house now. That means we can train instructors.
